Volunteer Opportunities

PAWED office work (requires PAWED membership for 6 months and training class prior to volunteering)
Exercise, socialize, and groom pets at the El Dorado County Animal Shelter in Placerville* (requires training class with the county prior to volunteering)
Assisting PAWED with dog/cat adoption events* (requires training class)
Providing foster care for a shelter pet (requires foster home application and approval with a local shelter)
Fund raising
Special events
Work projects to improve shelter facilities

*These activities require strength/ability to manage untrained animals and lift at least 25 pounds

If you have an extraordinary need to snuggle tiny balls of fur, play with wild and crazy critters, and spoil rotten a mini king or queen of the jungle then the El Dorado County Animal Shelter needs YOU!
