Volunteer Opportunities
- PAWED office work (requires PAWED membership for 6 months and training class prior to volunteering)
- Exercise, socialize, and groom pets at the El Dorado County Animal Shelter in Placerville* (requires training class with the county prior to volunteering)
- Assisting PAWED with dog/cat adoption events* (requires training class)
- Providing foster care for a shelter pet (requires foster home application and approval with a local shelter)
- Fund raising
- Special events
- Work projects to improve shelter facilities
*These activities require strength/ability to manage untrained animals and lift at least 25 pounds
